About the role

The CDIO is a senior executive responsible for driving the organization’s digital transformation and managing information systems. The CDIO will lead the development and implementation of digital strategies to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage.

You will actively lead and manage a team of 12 persons covering the domains ERP, CRM, E-apps, BI, Infrastructure.

Ecophon is a company within the Saint-Gobain Group. The position resides at the headquarters of Ecophon as well as having a strong interface with Saint-Gobain and the central initiatives being launched on Group level.

You provide strategic leadership and vision for the organization’s digital and information management functions and work closely throughout the organisation to ensure digital initiatives are integrated into overall business strategies and rolled out effectively. The role also entails providing guidance for external partners, and work effectively with the central and regional IT organisations of the Saint-Gobain Group. You foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in digital capabilities and promote a data-driven culture across the organization.

This role combines the oversight of digital innovation, IT infrastructure, data management, and cybersecurity. Hence, the position spans over a wide range of areas. The position is truly holistic and requires the ability to navigate a multi-system environment.

Some of the stimulating responsibilities in this position:

Information Technology Management

• Ensure the scalability and reliability of IT systems to meet current and future business needs. Prepare and manage the (global) implementation of a new cloud based (SaaS) ERP in line with Saint-Gobain ERP strategy.

• In order to do so, build the foundations of a proper Master data management (MDM) and evaluate the necessity to prepare a new generation of PIM

• Guide and support the roll-out of our Manufacturing 4.0 program in our factories (worldwide) – MES & SCADA

• Accelerate the deployment of our e-ordering solutions (EDI, e-shop,…) in order to contribute to our efficiency roadmap.

Digital Strategy and Transformation

• In collaboration with the relevant line operations, co-develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and improves customer engagement, product/service delivery, and operational processes.

Data Management and Analytics

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

• Leverage data analytics and business intelligence to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies

• Identify and evaluate emerging digital technologies to enhance the organization’s competitive edge.

The role truly entails both the short- and long-term thinking, moving from the day-to-day oriented decisions where your execution skills come to play to the more long-term “step up on the balcony” perspectives and looking ahead.

You feel at home in a dynamic environment where a “make it happen” philosophy is strong. Your position will entail a quite diverse set of areas: leadership, strategy, execution. This is a position with a lot of interfaces, and you are highly comfortable in navigating stake holders in a complex international organization.

The position is based in Hyllinge outside Helsingborg, at the Saint-Gobain Ecophon global head quarter. The position requires frequent presence and travelling is included, approximately 30 days/year.

Profile and background

To be able to handle the position you are curious and have a solid commercial drive. You also have a critical thinking, daring to constructively ask “is this the right path, why not look for this path instead?”. As a person you must show strong interpersonal skills. You will have numerous ongoing dialogues from internal and external stakeholders, so you need to be able to recognize what is important and prioritizing tasks.

You master excellent English, both written and spoken.

Education and experience:

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience also as member of a business’ leadership team

• Proven track record of leading implementation of transformative digital initiatives and managing large-scale IT projects

• Strong and solid ERP-experiences

• Experience with data governance, analytics, and cybersecurity best practices

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong strategic thinking, project management, as well as pragmatic problem-solving skills for the daily operations

• Excellent leadership, networking, transversal collaboration and team management abilities

• Ability to adapt communication and leadership approach to the needs of the situation or stakeholders and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• Proficiency in IT management, digital technologies, IT infrastructure, and data management

• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
