Our client, a global player within the building industry, is looking for a marketing Category Manager. Do you have a strong market/customer focus and understand how to drive offer plans adapted to different markets and geographies that leverage the unique portfolio and sales proposition for technical products in specification markets? Then you can make a great impact in this position!

Our client is reinforcing their marketing organization by establishing category product portfolio management, creating a stronger linkage to the market. You will be instrumental in:

• Build and drive a category roadmap, covering country roll-out plan with value and volume commitments.
• Drive the development and management of the offers, ensuring they address customer needs and stand out in a competitive market.
• Design and implement innovative marketing and sales strategies to boost brand recognition and market share.
• Promote your category in different countries and build and communicate a relevant value proposition.

You and your team will collaborate within the organisation and ensure alignment between sales, technical and supply chain stakeholders and act as ultimate ambassadors for your category.

You will have a team of direct reports and report to the Marketing Director. Travelling is expected in the range of up to 30% of the time.

Background

• University education – engineering with business experience or business with industry experience
• Successful relevant marketing experience with technical products in an industrial environment
• Sales experience is a plus – a customer focus mindset and business acumen are a requirement
• Management experience, having had direct reports
• Fluent in English with good writing and presentation skills
• Strong collaborator with an ability to lead others and drive changes
• Strong analytical skills
