About the role

As Sales Manager, you lead a team of five people located in the Nordics and in Germany. You will be responsible for sales and gross margin for Colson’s offering in the Nordics. You will work closely with your counterparts in the UK, France, Germany, Poland and Italy. You will be a part of the Manner management team and report to the Managing Director for Manner Oy, located in Finland.

In this position, you are home based in one of the metropolitan regions in Sweden (at this point in time, there are no Colson or Manner offices in Sweden). The position involves frequent travel within the Nordic region and, from time to time, also within Europe. The position is full-time, permanent with a six-month probationary period.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reaching targets in terms of turnover and gross margin for the region
  • Sales planning and continuous forecasting to secure highest delivery accuracy
  • Personnel responsibility for 3 technical salespeople and 2 inside salespeople
  • Solution-selling to existing and new customers
  • Development of value proposition and customer adaptations
  • Development of marketing materials in accordance with Group/European functions, participation in trade-fairs and other marketing activities
  • Feed back market intelligence and customer insights to central functions

About you

As a person, you are action-oriented, structured and have a high sense of responsibility. You are an experienced leader of technical, consultative salespeople who primarily interact directly with B2B customers (manufacturers). You have a great commitment to leadership and to giving the customer the best possible experience by treating each individual in a professional and personal way.

To succeed in the role and the company, we also see that you have the following experience and skills:

  • B.Sc. in business, engineering or equivalent
  • Min. 7 years of solution sales (OEM or specialized re-seller) specifying into manufacturing companies
  • Experience from targeting manufacturing companies within functional furniture (movables), load carriers or mobility aid products is a big plus
  • At least 5 years as a leader with good results, preferably in an international organisation
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (additional Nordic language is meritorious)
  • Drivers licence and ability to travel extensively (Nordics and Europe)
  • Previous experience in technical adaptations, customer-inspired product development and project management is meritorious
