The Company

Kingspan Insulation Continental Europe, part of the Kingspan Group Plc, is a world-leading manufacturer of high-performance insulation solutions for the building envelope.

Main Purpose of the Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will advise and support local management in implementing HR policies, identify areas for improvement regarding HR-related issues, and develop proposals that contribute to the organization’s success while considering its objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy and Policy

  • Understand the business, its objectives, and needs.
  • Identify areas of improvement, development, and bottlenecks, and initiate proposals to support organizational goals, drive change, enhance team development, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Identify trends using a data-driven approach and convert them into actionable solutions and policies. Advise management on necessary actions in response to these trends.
  • Initiate, lead, and contribute to HR projects while encouraging others to do the same.
  • Develop an annual HR plan with specific actions and objectives aligned with the HR strategy and local needs.
  • Translate HR strategy and implement HR instruments and regulations in accordance with local requirements.

Advising and Coordinating

  • Serve as an advisor, sparring partner, and coach for local management on HR issues such as sustainable employability, training, development, and strategic personnel planning.
  • Perform operational and tactical HR tasks in recruitment and selection, employment conditions, training, employment relationships, sickness absence, organizational changes, employment law issues, and related correspondence.
  • Participate in and lead assigned HR projects.
  • Play a proactive role in the HR team, fostering integral collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead HR Support/Receptionists, conducting performance reviews, and developing, motivating, and coaching employees.

Communication

  • Ensure clear and transparent communication with management and employees.
  • Maintain external contacts with partners such as health and safety services and recruitment agencies.
  • Prepare HR reports for the HR director and line management as requested.
  • Encourage and coach managers to perform HR tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Improve HR processes and develop and implement HR instruments, regulations, and procedures in line with HR strategy.
  • Monitor training requests and budgets in line with HR strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise and support line management in HR policy implementation.
  • Create or update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and regularly monitor compliance obligations.

Compliance

  • Adhere to Kingspan’s compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures to the Line Manager, Head of Compliance, or Group Compliance.
  • Participate in required training sessions.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (preferably HRM, P&A).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant social legislation and regulations, change management, and project management.
  • Proficiency in the respective national language and English (oral and written).

  • Initiative: Take the lead in actions and proposals, anticipate opportunities, and address bottlenecks proactively.

  • Determination: Make decisions confidently even with limited information and uncertain issues.
  • Integrity: Act in line with accepted social and ethical standards, even under pressure.
