About the role
As Finance Manager you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Baltic Cable’s financial operations. You will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and controlling, ensuring compliance with both Swedish and international regulations. You will be responsible for providing financial insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial planning and analysis – budgeting, forecasting and cost control
• Reporting and compliance – managing financial statements and ensuring regulatory adherence
• Tax accounting – supporting and advising on tax matters including tax audits
• Business partnering – collaborating with senior management to drive financial performance
• Process improvement – identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices in financial management
• Risk management – assessing financial risks and ensuring long-term sustainability
• Evaluate M&A prospects and be a key member in potential M&A projects
• Sustainability reporting and compliance – establish and structure processes to meet sustainability requirements such as CSRD
You will be part of the finance and commercial team and report to the CFO & Commercial Director.

• Promotes European market integration through providing valuable capacity to the market
• Supports the European sustainability targets by improving the exchange of renewable and carbon-free energy through marketing our capacity close to real-time, catering for intermittency in generation
• Improves operational security by providing reliable power and system services to our connection systems
• Stands for fair, transparent and non-discriminatory market functioning and endeavors to continuously improve market functioning through the application of European requirements
• Promotes the cooperation of TSOs (Transmission System Operator) on a multilateral, regional and pan-European level
About you
To be successful in this position we believe that you have experience from a similar role within financial controlling in an international, complex environment with broad responsibility. You will work closely with the commercial and the regulatory teams on a big variety of topics related to European electricity markets where your eagerness to learn, quickly grasp and being open-minded will greatly contribute to the teams. Your ability to interpret and grasp complex matters and translate it to a financial context is key. Further, an entrepreneurial mindset, capability to work independently and assume responsibility is critical in this position. The position requires taking own initiatives.
The position also involves many touchpoints with other organizations and therefore a commercially minded and business-oriented profile with strong presentation skills is required.
Furthermore, you have:
• A university degree in finance, economics or accounting
• 5 years of experience from a similar role, preferably within financial controlling
• Experience from taxes, VAT, transfer pricing
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, German is an advantage
• Experience from the energy, water or infrastructure industry is also an advantage
