About the role

Lead the team located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Silkeborg, Denmark, handling customs issues and coordinating the distribution of the company’s products via all types of modern and international transport channels in close relationships between the division’s various functions.

Ensure involvement in business development work and be a support function for both external and internal customs and logistics issues.

The Manager Export Logistics is part of the Supply Chain Management Team in Scandinavia and reports to Senior Manager Supply Chain. The position is preferably located in Gothenburg or Silkeborg, but Stockholm can also be an option.

Main tasks and accountabilities

• Overall Responsibility for Export Logistics – Manage the entire export process, including customs handling, documentation, and transportation flows, to ensure smooth and accurate export operations.
• Customs Responsibility – Act as the point of contact for Swedish Customs, manage permits, and lead customs audits. Support relevant managers with reporting and action plans in cases of deviations.
• Leadership – Responsible for overseeing team members, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Improvement and Development Work – Contribute to the development of logistics and customs flows, update manuals and routines, and actively participate in internal and external projects.
• International Transport Solutions – Analyze and recommend transport alternatives, ensure compliance for classified transports, and act as the contact person for Dangerous Goods.
• Supply Chain KPI Reporting – Measure and report on key performance indicators like OTIF, lead times, and inventory levels to support an efficient supply chain and meet expansion needs.

Experiences and Educational Background

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in export logistics, international shipping or supply chain management.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with customs work or formal training in customs procedures.
• Previous experience in people management with direct reports is a big plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience in leading projects within logistics or related fields.
• Strong understanding of global transport and logistics processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team, develop capabilities, and create development plans.
• Proficiency in using relevant ERP systems for transport and customs management.
• Experience in managing and setting requirements for system tools for transport and customs.
• Solid knowledge of Office 365 applications.
• Excellent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Swedish or Danish is an advantage.

• Effective at guiding and motivating the team to accomplish goals.
• Hands-on and willing to get involved in the work.
