About the role
As Nordic Sustainability & Corporate Affairs Manager, you will have an integral part in ensuring that Samsung stays on top of the market and continue to enrich and simplify the consumers’ lives. You will lead Samsung’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team of three Sustainability and Public Affairs-Officers, and report to the General Counsel and Director for Legal, Compliance & Corporate affairs.
Your mission will be to ensure and aim to go beyond legal compliance with Samsung’s products and business practices, to reduce their climate footprint continually and proactively, and to communicate to consumers and stakeholders about the sustainability performance of their products.
You will be working from Samsung’s Kista office, across all divisions in Samsung Nordics and have close collaborations with colleagues in headquarters. Hybrid working.
The main tasks will be:
• Internal and external advocacy of all sustainability and public affairs matters for the Nordics.
• Supporting Samsung Nordic Sales teams with questions and projects in your area, and participate in customer dialogue around sustainability.
• Develop and secure relevant messaging in close collaboration with the Corporate Marketing team to position the brand.
• Secure monitoring, risk sensing and reputation management in your area of responsibility.
• Represent Samsung and building relationship with appropriate Nordic authorities, industry organizations and NGO´s.
• Promote and implement proper sustainability and public affairs strategies and policies locally in line with Europe and Global initiatives and programs.
• Ensure compliance with current and future legislation and regulation and secure reporting of in your area of responsibility (e.g. relevant fees and reporting requirements for sustainability)
• Drive Public Affairs initiatives and secure internal information sharing.
To be successful in this role, you have:
• Relevant academic qualification and a solid commercial and sustainability knowledge.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of government affairs and public institutions in the Nordics.
• Proven track record of leading successful projects in a global company and are an analytical and confident leader.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish as well as English.
