Ikano Bank – Head of AML Excellence

We are strengthening the Compliance and Financial Crime team with a Head of AML Excellence. Are you passionate about working together with colleagues in different markets and functions to develop and improve the AML area in a global context?

This position can be based either in Malmö or Stockholm, with the majority of the team located in Malmö.

As a global function the Head of AML Excellence is responsible for strategy, systems, models, processes, roles and responsibilities and structure within AML and CTF and Sanctions in the bank. Sharing best practice between global and local functions, as well as secure continuous improvement and performance. This role is placed in Malmö or Stockholm and reports to CCO at Ikano bank.

You will be the manager of an organization consisting of AML specialists including one sub-team. This includes also being responsible for the technical solutions and the tech specialists. For you to succeed in this role you will encourage employees to collaborate across countries and functions to be even more effective – working together! You will be leading with Ikano values in mind, always applying common sense & simplicity in day-to- day situations. You will be involved in business decisions on customer level as well as strategic level.

The overall objective for you as Head of AML Excellence is to align, amend, implement, and manage AML processes with highest possible cost efficiency while supporting Ikano Banks ambition in terms of customer satisfaction, growth, profitability and to ensure full compliance with external and internal regulations within the area. It also includes representing AML in the transformation of the banks with new products and system enhancements.

Key responsibilities in this role is to implement and continuously follow and improve the AML strategy bank-wide, i.e, all eight markets.

To be successful in this role we believe you match the following criteria’s

• Ability to lead new and developing business during changing times in an efficient and simple way.
• Profound understanding of EU and Swedish AML regulation
• Deep knowledge of AML systems and models
• Have a strong strategic approach and know how to implement it in our (complex) everyday business.
• Proven managerial experience with strong coaching skills and leading teams (at least 3 years)
• Hands-on experience of managing complex customer cases on a regular basis and optimizing from a process improvement perspective.
• Deep banking business understanding
• Experience of system management and technical dialogues and requirements.
• Feel comfortable when it comes to stakeholder management working with for example branch managers and general management in the bank.
• Can build trust and communicate clearly with different people in various situations.
• Ability to balance the needs of the business with the wellbeing of the co-workers.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and also in one of the Nordic languages.
