Role Overview
As the Finance Director, you will be instrumental in guiding GAIM’s financial direction and supporting strategic business initiatives. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong understanding of e-commerce, subscription models, and pricing strategies primarily for B2C markets and preferably within digital or software-based marketplaces. Your insights will shape our business decisions, ensuring we stay at the forefront of financial innovation in the immersive technology space.
The position is based at the headquarters in Malmö. You will be part of the management team, report to the CEO, and lead a Business Controller as well as an accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- E-commerce Financials: Utilize your expertise in e-commerce finance to identify and analyze key performance indicators, enhancing our online sales strategy and maximizing revenue.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for both B2C and B2B markets to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Product Profitability Analysis: Monitor and analyze product profitability, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Business Analysis & Support: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and future growth opportunities.
- Business Development Collaboration: Work closely with the commercial team to build and evaluate business cases and financial scenarios for new initiatives.
- Management Team Participation: Actively participate in management discussions and planning as a key member of the management team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the business controller responsible for financial reporting, and collaborate with a senior accountant based in the U.S.
- Reporting: Provide timely, accurate financial reports and updates to the CEO and management team.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven track record as a business controller or in a senior finance role, ideally within software, start-up, or e-commerce settings.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build and evaluate complex business cases.
- Expertise in financial analysis, profitability assessments, and pricing strategy for diverse markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to convey complex financial concepts.
- Proficiency in financial software and business support tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.

- Strong analytical skills with a holistic view; able to break down and prioritize tasks effectively.
